Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero is eager to play his first Serie A game of the season, and he is hoping it happens against Lazio following the international break.
The No.10 missed the opening day win over Chievo Verona due to a back problem, and he was left on the bench for the 3-1 win over Roma on Sunday. Del Piero is happy with his side's winning start, but he wants to be a part of it on the pitch.
"I saw the pitch and I hope that I can play in the next league match against Lazio," Del Piero told his official website.
"We are really happy with the three points that we won at Roma. We showed great determination and personality.
"Now we have to maintain this mentality for the whole season in order to meet the objectives that we have aimed for, and that the fans are waiting for."
League action returns on the September 12 and 13 after Italy's World Cup qualifiers, with the Bianconeri travelling to Rome to play the Aquilotti.
